David Hasselhoff starred as Michael Knight in Knight Rider, a crime fighter equiped with a car that would put James Bond and his cars to shame. It could do virtually anything but sew on buttons.
In order for the car to drive itself, a right-handed driving position was created with a second steering wheel that sat below the dash. He then reconfigured the passenger seat so that the stunt driver could just see over the cowl but was hidden in and behind the passenger seat as he did the driving.
